Inspired by Wes Bos and many others, this Uses page goes over the different software, technology, and other bits and baubs I use!

Basic Tech

Hardware

• Victus by HP Gaming Laptop 15

• Logitech HD 1080p webcam: My laptop's webcam is, you know, a laptop webcam, so the quality is pretty shit, so it's nice having a better option. I borrowed this from my roommate, though, so I should probably give it back at some point
• Huion Kamvas Slate 10: My on-the-go drawing tablet, also used for keeping notes at D&D so I'm not lugging my entire laptop around
• A pink bluetooth mini keyboard I got off Aliexpress: To use with the tablet
• Huion Kamvas 13: My at-home drawing tablet

• VS Code, Light Pink theme, for writing code

• Clip Studio Paint v4, for digital art
• I have lots of brushes and stuff installed, but I get a lot of use especially out of:
  • Sketchbrush Aura (material ID 1828173) - all of my sketching is done with this!
  • Impressionistic Brush (material ID 1981979) - I love the color jitter on this so I use it a lot for messy colored sketches
  • Froggy Pencil (material ID 1893068) - I'm having a lot of fun doing crunchy lines with this brush lately!
  • 신난노이즈/Excited Noise (material ID 1755372) - an auto-action to add a noise texture; I've been enjoying using this for art I want to be "crunchier" as I find ways to add that sort of texture that I enjoy
• Libresprite, for digital pixel art on desktop
• Resprite, for digital pixel art on my tablet—when the desktop version goes on sale, I'm planning on buying it
• Notion, for all of my creative writing, to do lists, and general note-taking - I use the browser version when I'm at my computer, because I hate downloading things and love a program I can easily access on any device
• Adobe InDesign CC 2019, for TTRPG PDF layout—I'll probably replace this with Affinity eventually, but ideally I'd find something that doesn't use or support generative AI
• Google Calendar for all event and commitment tracking
• Blockada, phone adblock
• Steam, for infrequent gaming

This Site

• Hosted on Green Geeks
• Made with HTML, CSS, and some Javascript
  • Most of the Javascript I wrote on my own or frankensteined together from various Stack Overflow Q&As, but I'll note here where I used a library or took substantial amounts of someone's code
• The drawbox uses a code from this site, using imgur and Google sheets scripts
• The guestbook uses a code that also uses Google sheets scripts, originally from Beelzebabe, who has taken down the tutorial
• Masonry, for the toybox
• Freezeframe.js, for the toybox
• Bumblebee, based on Zonelots, is the framework used for Storybook
• Goatcounter, to get visit analytics without tracking anyone's personal data
